At a time when the highest levels of turnover and staff shortages in the recent history of the industry are being witnessed, hotel managers are facing a new set of urgent challenges: winning the new war on talent, retaining their top people, and leveraging culture to ensure employees feel more connected to the hospitality business than ever before.
Talent management is a competitive advantage today and the most evergreen of HR topics, because finding and keeping the best talent is a constant business imperative. Top talent moves quickly, and General Managers have to stay ahead of the trends to be successful at hiring, engaging, coaching, and retaining the staff members.
In the past months many examples have been told on how hoteliers came up with brilliant ideas in which they managed to showcase their winning strategies for building a sustainable staffing ecosystem supported with a great culture design.
